De volta ao post mensal , desta vez com uma ilustração que estará patente ,ao vivo e a cores ,na mais recente exposição do The Lisbon Studio, a decorrer no espaço Leya da  livraria Buchollz, junto á avenida da liberdade, em Lisboa.

Monthly log 14 - Warcraft Fanart

Aproveitando um interregno no corropio de trabalho, aqui fica uma fanart de um tema que é dos meus favoritos : Warcraft!
As saudades de jogar são muitas mas infelizmente o tempo disponivel é muito pouco e não tem dado para matar a sede. Esta fanart serve para colmatar essa falha, heheheh.

So i´m having a bit of time off from the endless flood of comissions and since i haven´t played warcraft in a while i decided to deal with that loss with a bit of fanart, yay!
Dunno why an orc warlock, think it´s the only race i have never played in the game, and therefore it was a challenge to illustrate heheheh.

Monthly log 13 - Landscape fun

Hoje tive um tempinho livre e decidi brincar um bocadinho com pinceis do photoshop e com o filtro sharpen. E assim nasceu o post deste mês. Quando acabei , olhei de longe para o monitor do pc e lembrei-me dos impressionistas. Lembrei-me também que é exactamente assim que eu vejo o  mundo quando não tenho as lentes de contacto postas :D

Ok, so i had a little bit of time to waste this afternoon, so i "grabed" the wacom and the computer and started playing with some photoshop brushes and the sharpen filter. after i finished i kinda thought "this thing has an impressionist feel to it " , cool , i´ll go post it. Then i remembered  this is also what the world looks to me when i´m not wearing my contact lenses ! Groovy !

Monthly log 12 - Some wizard thingy

Aproveitei as férias da páscoa e esta ilustração surgiu muito rápida! Apenas uns dois dias de trabalho, o que pela minha média habitual é muito bom .Gosto do resultado com as cores, mas o cenário ficou um pouco aldrabado, hehehehe.A culpa foi das amendoas da páscoa!

So i got a few free days for the easter and i managed to produce this one in about two days work, wich, considering my normal work flow, is pretty nice!I like the final color result, although the background is rusehd. i blame it on the easter bunnies !

Monthly log 11 - a little inking training

Para o post deste mês peguei num esboço esquecido que tinha para aqui no computador e resolvi treinar um pouco de inking sobre o meu traço. Usei um programa chamado art rage que têm uma série de ferramentas  muito versáteis e das quais se podem obter resultados muito interessantes. Quando tiver um pouco mais de tempo planeio regressar a esse programita para experimentar as ferramentas de pintura.

For this month´s post i took a forgotten sketch that was lying around the computer and decided to train my inking skills on it! I used a super nice program called art rage and this is the result from it. I love this little program, it has lots of super nice tools for sketching, inking and painting. Next time i´ll try a complete painting, if i have the time  : P

Monthly log 10 - A little sketch for fun

Ahah! Consegui um sketch mesmo mesmo com o mês a acabar! Uma vez que o jogo Guild Wars 2 parece que vai finalmente sair este ano, lá aproveitei para rabiscar uma espécie de guerreira Norn , numa adaptação muito muito manhosa. E não as espadas no jogo não vão ser tão lame como a que está neste desenho.

I managed to sketch something before the end of the month, ha! It´s a Norn warrior, kind of, cause Guild Wars 2 is coming this year and cause i like the norn race. And no, ingame swords wont be as lame as the one i drew :P
Also big arms and hands are cool ^^

Monthly log 09

Ok, admito que não consigo actualizar o blog semanalmente por isso tentarei manter um post mensal!A vêr se é desta! Assim , para o primeiro mês do ano , deixo-vos com umas imagens de um dos trabalhos que fiz no fim do ano passado e que consistiu em 4 livrinhos de contos do conhecido Panda, simbolica personagem do Canal Panda ,tendo sido o trabalho efectuado através da editora Goody SA.

Ok, so i admit i can´t keep up with daily updates nor weekly ones so i´m now going for monthly logs.

That said , for the first month of the year i bring you some images of a small book collection i illustrated last year for the portuguese Panda Channel, through the portuguese publisher Goody SA.

Weekly log 08 - Merry Christmas!!!

Yay, post de Natal!
Tenho andado de facto muito ocupada com trabalho e com muito pouco tempo livre para projectos pessoais ou simples doodles. No entanto não queria deixar de assinalar a quadra natalicia com uma bonecada da praxe.Para todos um feliz natal e um feliz ano novo !


Yay, Christmas post!
Been very busy lately with non stop work and i´ve had very little free time to dedicate to this doodles blog ou even personal projectos of mine.
But since it´s that time of the year again e didn´t want to let it pass without a small season´s greetings card so here it is. I wish a very happy christmas and a happy new year to everyone.
May 2012 be nicer to you all then 2011 !

 De volta de umas merecidas férias de papo para o ar na praia, ainda há tempo para um post antes de Agosto e o verão fecharem as portas. Esta pin-up era para um livro de um amigo a editar algures este ano mas o projecto está atrasado ( falta de pin ups, hehehehe) por isso coloco-a aqui e faço uma nova depois, para o livro.

Back from a nice vacation over at the south beaches just in time for a post before August finishes, and the summer with it. This one was suposed to be featured in a friend´s book to be published this year , but the project is late, so i´ll post it up here and will make a new pin-up for him later on.

Weekly log 06 - some old sketches

Ok, não tão weekly mas mesmo assim cá vai mais um post. Estes esboços já têm algum tempo mas ainda não os tinha mostrado aqui no blog. Dizem respeito a um projecto em que trabalhei durante o tempo que estive na Game Invest ( e que acabou por não ir para a frente ).
Ainda estou com alguma carga de trabalho em cima o que significa que os posts não serão muito regulares mas enfim, é a vida ;)

Not so weekly post this time but better then no post, right?
Anyways, these sketches were done some time ago, when i was working on a project for the company i was working at the time, Game Invest. The project didn´t go foward but i enjoyed working in it a lot.

Weekly log 05 - Another sketch

Voltei de férias mas o trabalho parece não querer largar-me. Ainda não tive tempo de acabar o sketch anterior por isso optei por postar mais um sketch, desta vez uma fan art do personagem Dante , do jogo Devil may cry. A vêr se para a semana arranjo mais algum tempinho !

So i´m back from my mini vacation but work doesn´t seem to let up for the moment ( not complaining, heheh).I´m still trying to finish up last post´s sketch, but since i didn´t want to not post anything this week i dug up a sketchy fan art from the character Dante (from the Devil may cry games). Let´s see if i can get a bit more free time next week.

Weekly log 04 - Sketch

Um pequeno sketch para uma ilustração que pretendo fazer mais tarde. Esta semana já não consigo, pois vou para fora de férias e só volto lá mais para o fim do mês. Assim, na próxima semana não haverá post semanal. Já agora aproveitem e dêem uma espreitadela no blog Fist full of fanart, do meu colega Ricardo Venâncio, e vejam a minha contribuição para esta semana . É uma espécie de regresso ás origens , há muitos anos que não ilustrava personagems de comic books !

The sketch of an illustration i wanto to finish next. Won´t happen this week or the next since i´ll be away on vacation . So there won´t be any posts next week either. By the way , take a look at my friend´s blog Fist full of fanart, i got a little contribution there, this week ;)

Weekly log 03 - DVD covers

Esta semana mostro-vos um pouco de mais uma encomenda que me ocupou grande parte do ano passado e os primeiros meses deste ano também : capas de DVDs de animação , desta vez para a distribuidora Filmes Unimundos. Foi uma encomenda bem grande num total de 26 capas novas para filmes de animação, e um dos trabalhos que mais gostei de fazer até hoje . Só tenho a louvar a distibuidora Unimundos que me deu tempo e liberdade total para efectuar as capas, nos dias de hoje ter encomendas assim é quase um luxo!

This week i bring you two examples of another comission that has kept me busy during the second half of last year and a few months into 2011 also : the illustration of some DVD covers for classic animation tales! This comission went to Filmes Unimundos , a distributor of comercial dvds in Portugal and whom i praise for giving me all the time and liberty i needed to work in this. It was one of my best comissions ever and one of the most enjoyable too.

Weekly log 02 - Concept art para a Gameinvest

Hoje trago alguma concept art que fiz para a Gameinvest durante o ano passado.A Gameinvest é um empresa portuguesa  a trabalhar neste momento na área de jogos casuais para PC e consolas. Esta arte diz respeito ao jogo Dream Mysteries : Case of the red fox  que já está no mercado há algum tempo. É um jogo casual, de hidden objects, muito divertido de jogar. Podem experimentar uma demo aqui .

Today i bring you some of the work i´ve been busy with during last year. In this case a bit of  concept art i did for Gameinvest ( a portuguese company, working on the field of casual games), for their hidden object game Dream Mysteries : Case of the red fox. You can try a demo here .

Weekly log 01 - The blog is active again , oh joy !

Ora até que enfim parou o corropio de trabalho e me aparece algum tempinho livre para dar largas de novo á criatividade! Já não me comprometo com posts diários porque ,como se pode vêr , espetei-me ao comprido nessa resolução. Vamos tentar então uma coisa mais semanal , vá , para ter em conta a minha
costela de preguiçosa. Por agora deixo-vos aqui uma bonecada que começou por ser uma elfa numa floresta mas acabou por degenerar num diz-que-é-uma-espécie-de-fanart-do World of warcraft mas disfarçada de elfa genérica? Enfim, foi o que saiu, se tudo correr bem para a semana há mais rabiscos !

Daily Log 62 - Happy Christmas Doodle !

Apesar da crise, e sem querer terminar o ano sem um post da praxe, desejo a todos um Feliz Natal e um optimo Ano Novo , faço votos para que tudo corra pelo melhor e para que o céu não seja tão cinzento como o andam para ai a pintar, xô aves de mau agoiro ;)

Not wanting to finish this year without at least one measly post here´s my season´s greetings card. Hope everything turns out for the best next year and that things end up not being as grey for the world as they are looking right now . Have a wonderful christmas season everyone!

Daily Log 61 - more warm up sketch

Já não postava há algum tempo mas tenho andado com muito trabalho e têm sido dificil arranjar um tempinho para sketches . Hoje não foi diferente mas a vontade de desenhar outras coisas era tão forte que não resisti :D. A doideira de trabalho vai continuar até meados de Fevereiro,altura a partir da qual este blog deverá voltar ao activo . Até lá!

Loads of work are still taking away all my free time but today i really had an urge to draw something diferent from what i´ve been comissioned to do , so here it is, a sketch post ! I´ll be burried in work till around mid february , by then this blog should go very active again...i hope !

Daily Log 60 - Warm up sketch

Tenho andado muito ocupada ultimamente com trabalho ( já deu para notar no blog, né? ) e pelo meio tive umas feriazitas no Algarve de papo para o ar que me souberam que nem jinjas :) Hoje cheguei cedo ao estudio e lá deu para fazer um sketch de aquecimento. E sempre ponho um post em Agosto ! Aproveitem as férias e descansem porque as minhas já acabaram :P

Omg , i´m back! Well, not really, just arrived earlier at work today  so i had a bit of time for a warm up sketch. Been very busy during August with work and also a mini vacation down south, enjoying the beach.
Vacation is over but the work load is still on so dunno when i can post again, we´ll see :)

Pois é, já cá não postava há umas semanitas, tenho andado um pouco atrapalhada de trabalho e sem muito tempo para dedicar ao blog ultimamente.Os proximos meses vão ser bastante ocupados por isso é provavel que vá postando mais esporádicamente. De qualquer forma aqui está um esboço rápido para relembrar que o blog ainda mexe :D

Have been really busy with work lately so i don´t have much time to dedicate to the blog at the moment. This might go on for the next couple of months, we´ll see. In the meanwhile here is a little sketch done just after lunch time
